Fujiama Hunt wants to save her father's empire. Civilization
seems to be failing everywhere. The dangerous technology that
gave humans spaceflight is becoming unmanageable. A genetically
engineered virus has resurrected the scourge of slavery. Every
rebellious province and rogue world believes they have the
only true way to govern the human race. Fujiama believes
there might be a solution, but it means a year-long voyage into
the decaying and lost realms of the old empire. Soon the
princess realizes that an alien species, which has never before
cared about the human race, is taking a keen interest in her
search for a planet that might, or might not exist, and might,
or might not have her answers.
